Here’s a couple highlights I didn’t see on The Gauntlet:

Jeff Hannemen from Slayer told me “he loved out new album” at an afterparty at The Big 4, it was an unsolicited compliment! Means a lot coming from the guy who wrote most of “Reign In Blood”!

Dick Delicious reports from the Golden Gods awards…

Here are the Cliff Notes from last nights “Golden God Awards” – I am still drunk while writing this:

1. Avenged Sevenfold still sucks 50 LB bags of dick and call it a “light lunch”.
2. Sebastian Bach is WAY cooler than you’d think he’d be.
3. Dimebag Rita wants to bang my boy Steve – (sorry Dave!)
4. Always tell chicks “You usually bang sluts 10 times hotter than them”
5. That guy Mario from Liquid Metal on Sirius looks like an even bigger douchbag than he sounds like on the radio, and that’s tough to do.
6. Motley Crue aren’t the icons of metal, they are an overrated pop band.
7. Once you hit 40, you shouldn’t be allowed to sing “The Youth Gone Wild” anymore, unless it’s ironic karaoke
8. I’m not sure what Chris Jericho even does, it damn sure doesn’t involve talent
9. When I get drunk I get really racist.
10. I am going to start a “Suicide Assistance Program” – it’s up the river, not across the bridge — get it right!
11. Our music is “is too dark, intelligent and complex to be understood by an average person” MartinMetaal
12. I “I dont want to be a rockstar I just want to rape innocent children” #dickdband
13. I heard the Golden Gods were getting 750 hits per minute on Twitter, no wonder I have less followers this morning.

21. The original Alice Cooper band had gotten “really fat”. We can “out-fat” them though.
22. Went to the awards with $1500 cash in pocket, came back with considerably less. Most was spent at bar or dropped on floor. Not sure.
23. I know this is the first time I said this but I REPEAT – “whitesnake is not metal!!”
24. I don’t think the guys from “That Metal Show” could get on the Pest List (Guest List)
25. “where did all the metal sluts go?” #dickdband – Sad, but true.
25.5: I won’t make any new friends from this blog.
26. Jeff Hanneman is still the best guitar player in Slayer.

We originally only had the 3 new songs from our new album “A Vulgar Display of Obscurity” available at the SignMeToRoadRunner contest. We went to #1 Daily Metal Charts and #3 weekly metal charts! How much better can you do? For some reason the contract hasn’t showed up…

So we figured rather than send them our traffic to support their bands, we’d host the songs ourselves.

A lot of people have been asking when we’d drop the new album. We are in talks with one label, if it doesn’t work out — we’ll just but it out ourselves and try to get out on the road as much as possible.

New Dick Delicious and The Tasty Testicles song, “Beer Shit Aids and Bad Drugs“, released on Road Runner Records site!

This hilarious Beastie Boys inspired track you will hear some killer licks in the guitar solo section from myself (Dick Delicious), Ruyter Suys (Nashville Pussy), and Brent Hinds (Mastodon). I know, it’s a who’s who of rock and metal.

This is just 1 of 40 tracks on our new opus “A Vulgar Display of Obscurity“…which is 100% complete and if some label doesn’t put it out soon, we will do it ourselves, just like we did our past 3 albums!

I think Road Runner should award us the biggest contract in musical history, but what do I know….I am just an idiot dumb enough to name their band “Dick Delicious and The Tasty Testicles“.

The “proper version” of Diarrhea is released!!

This is the “proper version” of Diarrhea that most of you are familiar from play on the Howard Stern Show and Consumption Junction. When we recorded “We Sold Our Souls For Wet Sloppy Holes” we re-recorded it but failed to capture the magic of the original. The original “demo” version is was our only hit. Why it took us 10 years to correct this mistake, I have no idea, but it’s better late than never!!

The Gauntlet Publishes First New DDTT Interview In 10 Years

This interview recently went up on THE GAUNTLET – it’s the first interview we’ve given since 2001 or so. Not because we are notorious recluses, just nobody wanted to talk to us…

The Gauntlet: Are you guys still an Atlanta based band?

Dick D: I’m in Los Angeles, they are in Atlanta. I’m here, they are there.

The Gauntlet: Is it a band where you guys need a lot of distance between the members?

Dick D: It is a long distance relationship as we’d beat the crap out of each other. We have restraining orders against each other.

The Gauntlet: Is the band officially back together?

Dick D: It is looking that way.

Hugh G Rection (Scott): We actually have more going on now than we ever have. It seems like a lot of the pieces just came together.

Dick D: We were always way before our time and now the idiots are catching up with us. We will probably put out this record then break up for another 20 years. By then we will be pushing 80. We will bring geriatric rock in.

The Gauntlet: Where was the album recorded?

Scott: Everywhere. We recorded some in Atlanta, some in Kentucky, and some in California.

The Gauntlet: Kentucky?

Dick D: Our other guitar player Ruyter [Suys] was recording with her other band [Nashville Pussy] and we took some of the tracks up there and did some vocals and keyboards up there and it turned out pretty cool.

The Gauntlet: Is she an official member of the band?

Scott: Yeah, it is official. She is a Tasty Testicle now. I think she is more a palatable pussy than a Tasty Testicle.

The Gauntlet: Will she get a stage name?

Dick D: Yeah, I kinda like Constance X or Ophilia Balls but she doesn’t want to go with that. Maybe Ophilia Boner will work.

Scott: We are still kicking around names a little bit.

Dick D: We are trying to convince our drummer to use the name Dicks In My Ass but he doesn’t want to use that.

Scott: I am not sure why. Why would he be opposed to that.

The Gauntlet: I take it you guys aren’t fans of The Black Eyed Peas.

Scott: I wish they would just disappear.

The Gauntlet: I think after the Super Bowl they wanted to disappear also.

Dick D: Did you get a chance to see the video I made for our first single “I Want to Kill the Black Eyed Peas”?

The Gauntlet: Yes. Whose idea was it for the song?

Dick D: I think it was my idea for the song, then Scott wrote the lyrics and I wrote most of the riffs. I don’t pay attention to sports at all, but someone told me that The Black Eyed Peas were playing the Super Bowl. I sat there one night and smoke a quarter of pot and took six Adderall. I had never used video editing software before either but I just banged that out.

Scott: If they had actually been good, there might not have been people paying attention to our video, but the general consensus is that they just blew chunks. Everybody loves the video. Continue reading →

Ruyter Suys (Nashville Pussy) Joins Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles

The Gauntlet writes: Grammy nominated guitarist, Ruyter Suys of the Southern hard rock band Nashville Pussy has officially joined Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles. “Ruyter Suys is now a full member of Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles. It is official, she is a Tasty Testicle now. I guess she is more of a Palatable Pussy than a Tasty Testicle though” stated Dick Delicious front-man Richard Delicious.

DicK Delicious and the Tasty Testicles has just finished recording its’ latest opus “A Vulgar Display of Obscurity“. The album features guest appearances by Brent Hinds, Troy Sanders and Bill Killiher from Mastodon and Kevin Sharp from Brutal Truth. The bands first track off the album, “I Want To Kill The Black Eyed Peas,” is already gaining the band lots
of attention.
